Providing the existing tiles are sound and not loose, then the existing tiles should be thoroughly cleaned with a proprietary chemical cleaner first. Any loose tiles can be replaced by in filling with ARDEX A46. Once the walls and floors have been prepared the tiles can be over tiled with ARDEX X7 plus E90 additive.
